Broken Hill – White Cliffs

Sunday 03rd of July 2011
White Cliffs
Today: !
After two hour car drive I reached Wilcannia, I thought this place to be the same town like Broken Hill and it is absolutely not! Most people are Aboriginals and only a total of 500. One filling station and a little shop, that’s it.
I had a hitch-hiker all the way and it was ok. No pleasant place this Wilcannia. I had some food and the tank filled with expensive . And back on the sealed road to White Cliffs I was heading. Always rain fall in between, not strong, but some rain.
I walked around the mound nothing special or great to be seen. Rain starts again, lucky being back in.
Chatting with some people, nice dinner full house, holiday started yesterday, so many families and their kids are out here.

About Tadesse Konrad

Konrad Tadesse lives and works in Berlin in Germany. In Summer 2011 he could do a 3 month journey to Australia. Travelling in Australia was the fulfilment of an old dream for him. Trekking on his own was an other objective. This is one way to find out how things in live are after 25 years of family life. He flew in Melbourne and zigzagged up the east coast to Cairns.
