Driving form Injune to Takarakka camp site at Carnarvon Gorge and doing some
Easy driving through open getting more hilly and then descending in a great flat river plain with futile soil and a lot of cows and some green fields.
I turned left at the street sign and drove an other 40 km up towards the white mountain walls to the camp ground. The site looked very nice and I payed 17,- $ for my place without electricity. I set up the and settled the sleeping and left the and did some .
to an old aboriginal rock painting and up to
Mitchels Canyon and the side canyon which was even more spectacular. The are not very good, sorry.
In between I gathered information and obtained a at the national park .
Quite a lot of people where heading back down when I went up to the Moss Garden.
The tent place was busy on Friday evening and on Saturday, weekend visitors.
I was in bed early at 21:00 read a little bit and had a dry, and quite warm cosy night.

Konrad Tadesse lives and works in Berlin in Germany. In Summer 2011 he could do a 3 month journey to Australia. Travelling in Australia was the fulfilment of an old dream for him. Trekking on his own was an other objective. This is one way to find out how things in live are after 25 years of family life. He flew in Melbourne and zigzagged up the east coast to Cairns.
